Training-Workshop in Porto

From 14-15 June a two-day training-workshop on Capacity Building of TSDC Staff was held at the Universidade do Porto (U. Porto).
The study visit continued at the University of Porto, June 14-15, 2018, in which, in addition to the organizers,
was also attended by representatives of a number of Portuguese universities, who shared their experience on the structure and
functioning of their TSDC. The main outcomes of the seminar at the University of Porto were development and implementation of
innovative training programmes and design of new operational plans for TSDCs. With the direct participation of the pro-rector
Fernando Remião and Professor Maria Pinto, practical sessions were held for the representatives of the partner countries universities
in the format of the World Cafe with the subsequent presentation of the results of the workshop.
On the final day of the visit, on June 16, with the participation of 19 representatives of the European and Eastern PC institutional
coordinators, the first meeting of the Project Steering Committee (PSC) was held. The meeting summed up the results of the implementation
of the planned actions for WP1, in particular, on the results of conducted surveys for assessing the training needs of teaching staff and
required facilities for the TSDCs, reporter Vice-rector of the NPUA Dr. R. Aghgashyan. Besides, timetables set by the end of 2018 was
corrected and approved by the PSC.
From the National Polytechnic University of Armenia (NPUA) a delegation consisting of Vice-rector R. Aghgashyan,
Director of the Centre for Continuing Education and Lecturers Professional Development of the NPUA A. Zaprosyan, Heads of the Chairs
G.Markarov and E.Hakobyan participated in the study visit.
